rope - by me
We have had a problem just lately with Raven and Blue chewing up a few things when we leave them on their own for more than a few hours. We have put it down to boredom.
Tonight, I was organising and purging my camping equipment to what I needed rather than having excess equipment. The particular items I was sorting through were my ropes. I have a variety of heavy duty camping and climbing rope, which, to be honest, I don’t really need. At least, not for hammock camping.
So, with that came a great idea. I cut off two lengths of rope and knotted them together in such a way as to create a puzzle rope for the dogs. The knots, which are tight but not too tight are tied in such a way that with time the dogs will be able to figure out how to undo them.
Blue has already figured out one of the knots and is slowly working on the others. The beauty of this is that once they have unraveled the knots, I can just tie them back up again.
Here is to hoping the rope actually holds out that long…
